Growing up, Jess was always the creative type and thrived on getting her hands into anything art. Be it instruments, painting, sewing, the whole works. Through passion, curiosity, and a healthy amount of teasing from fellow hairdressing relatives, Jess has made her way into the beauty industry.

In 2020, there was a massive pivot for Jess where she went from pursuing cybersecurity to starting her journey to become a stylist. Just two years later, she began her journey at Paul Mitchell the School Tysons Corner. Soon after starting her schooling, she began working at Salon Sage where she was able to refine and contextualize everything she was learning at school. The ability to combine both of her passions of learning and embracing her creative side allowed her to truly grow as an artist and appreciate the variety of arts there are to enjoy.

Through years of learning and refinement, Jess has found most passion in hair cutting, dimensional color, and vivids. She drew many parallels to traditional art forms. The affinity hair cutting has to sculpting and the similarities of painting to doing vivids really drew Jess towards those mediums. The world is her canvas and she can only hope to make people feel beautiful on her journey as she continues to discover more passions in the cosmetology industry.
